Dr. Bar-Sagi is the senior vice president and vice dean for Science, Chief Scientific Officer of NYU Langone Medical Center. She is also a professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology. She previously served as chair of the Department of Biochemistry at the NYU School of Medicine and chair of the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. Dr. Bar-Sagi is widely recognized for elucidating the oncogenic functions of mutant Ras. Her recent research focuses on mutant Ras-dependent drivers of pancreatic cancer.
