Epigenetics In Cancer Symposium Abstracts
NOTE:Students who wish to participate in the 3-day Graduate Course on Epigenetics in Cancer that will be held concomitantly with the symposium (4-6 March 2020) should submit a 1-page letter of motivationalongside their scientific abstract as well as a 1-page CV. A total of 12 participants will be selected from all submissions. These 12 participants will also give an oral presentation as part of the Epigenetics in Cancer symposium. Abstract submission to be considered for an oral presentation and the graduate course closes on 31 December 2019
The Epigenetics in Cancer Symposium is calling for submission of abstracts for posters.
All abstracts submitted or accepted do not equate to registration waivers. All attending delegates, including abstract submitters MUST register.
All abstracts submitted should represent scientific research relevant to the studies of Epigenetics.
Authors submitting abstracts are responsible for ensuring that all authors listed on the abstract have been notified of the submission.
All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the conference committee. Twelve abstracts will be chosen for oral presentations, based on scientific merit, as part of the conference main schedule.
Students applying for participation in the 3-day graduate course (4-6 March 2020) are eligible to be selected for oral presentations. Submitters of abstracts will be notified via email in January 2020 about the outcome. Dates are subject to change, please check against the website for updates.
All accepted abstracts, excluding those selected for oral presentations, should be presented as a poster.
No revisions can be made to submitted abstracts after the abstract submission deadline.
Format of Abstracts
Students wishing to apply for the 3-day graduate course (4-6 March 2020) on Epigenetics in Cancer and who wish to be eligible for an oral presentation should submit a 1-page letter of motivation as well as 1-page CV. NOTE: Abstract, motivation letter and CV should be combined into a single pdf
Abstracts are limited to a total of 300 words, excluding authors’ affiliations.
Please submit your abstract as an attachment in MS Word Format.

Please avoid adding graphics, charts or photographs in your abstracts; they should only be included in your poster.
Please ensure that all special characters / symbols and formatting are properly displayed in your submission.
Abstract submission for poster presentation closes on 7 February 2020.
Participants of the Epigenetics in Cancer Symposium’s Competition participants should print a physical poster that is A1-sized, colored, of portrait orientation and bring it along to be displayed at the conference.
All accepted posters and poster presentations will be reviewed by the appointed panel of Poster Judges at the conference.
Twelve poster participants will be selected as part of an exchange programme with workshops to be conducted on the 4-6 March 2020.
Two oral presentations will be selected for the ‘Outstanding Presentation Prize Award’ and ‘Runners-up Presentation Award’ & Two poster presentations will be selected for the ‘Outstanding Poster Prize Award’ & ‘Runners-up Poster Prize Award’.
The results of the Epigenetics in Cancer Symposium Abstract Competition will be announced on 3 March 2020.
Certificates of award and prizes will be presented to the winners.
