14-year-old writer publishes book and donates proceeds to CSI

haigYoung novelist Rachelle Toh has published a fantasy book, “The Call for Allegiance – Quest”, penned when she was just 12. The novel, aimed at young readers aged between 10-12 years, underlines an exciting story of 3 Singaporean teenagers teleported into an enchanted realm and the adventures that follow. Citing the importance of investing in cancer studies to create cost-effective treatments, Rachelle will be donating a significant portion of the book’s proceeds to the institute to fund life-changing medical research.

Present at the book launch at the author’s alma mater, Haig Girls’ School, was Director of CSI Singapore, Prof Daniel Tenen. The book will be available at major bookstores by the end of November 2013.
